I will never forget the day my daughter told me that Bethany, a girl in her 4th grade class, was annoying her.
“What is she doing to you?” I questioned, instinctively protective.
“She’s following me around on the playground and sitting by me at lunch!” she quipped, as if that would sum things right up and get me squarely on her side of the matter.
“You mean she’s trying to be friends with you?” I asked incredulously.

I believe we need more ads and music videos that inspire and less trashing the integrity of others or plastering sex as the only thing that matters all while objectifying both men and women. Men are not walking penises with bulky muscles, and women are not walking vaginas with skinny little waists and too much makeup. The only person who should judge who we are, is ourselves.
The world would be much better off if media didn't have people at each other's throats.
Beauty truly is a learned perception. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, and some can be ugly - but it has nothing to do with their physical appearance.
